APTN | Languages Campaign – Speak with Pride

There are over 70 Indigenous languages spoken in Canada and all of them are either endangered or at risk of being lost.

We needed to develop a campaign that both brings awareness to this heartbreaking truth and inspires action within the Indigenous community.

Our goal was to identify as many Indigenous Language Keepers as possible and find at least one representative for each of the 70+ endangered languages; to unite them and build upon the movement of language reclamation and revitalization.

We need to inspire Indigenous Language Keepers to come forward and share their story, their history, hopes and dreams – before it’s too late. And create a place where languages are not just reclaimed, a place where they are celebrated and worn like a badge of honour.
